Workshop Manager

Fimatec is the official distributor of Atlas Copco and is active in the sale, rental, and maintenance of mobile compressors, generators, site batteries, light towers, and sandblasting equipment. Today, our focus is on innovative technologies: electric machines and energy storage systems that are preparing job sites for the future.

Together with our sister company, Machinery Resale, the world leader in the trade of used compressors, we offer technical solutions with a direct impact. To further optimize our technical operations, we are looking for an experienced workshop manager who is ready for the next step in their career.

What does your new challenge look like?

As a workshop manager, you will take the daily lead of our team in the workshop. In this versatile, technical job, you will help build our story.

Your responsibilities:

• You ensure that the planning of repairs, maintenance, and technical checks runs smoothly.
• You motivate and support your team of technicians and logistics colleagues through visible leadership. You are present on the work floor every day, start with a “good morning,” and are ready to lend a helping hand whenever needed.
• You are the first point of contact for technical issues, fault analysis, or complex cases. You determine whether a problem is solved internally or on location and coordinate the process.
• You make decisions together with the warehouse clerk regarding the stock of parts.
• You ensure order, safety, and technical cleanliness in the workshop. If you see opportunities to improve efficiency, speak up, good ideas are always welcome.
• You process work orders and ensure correct preparation for invoicing and warranties.
• You prepare quotes for repairs to clients and communicate directly with suppliers about technical issues and parts.
• You are ultimately responsible for the workshop team (7 employees).
• You act as the link between the workshop and other departments such as rental, sales, and administration.

Your profile:

You combine technical knowledge with natural leadership and think in terms of solutions, not problems.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electromechanics or equivalent by experience
• Proven experience with combustion engines and electrical controls
• Client-oriented, strong planning skills, and well-organized
• Fluent in Dutch, English, and French
• Computer literate, comfortable with planning tools, and administratively strong
